Dinosaur's Race Experience 2008:
Roomie Dinosaur made it! She successfully completed this year’s Cancer Research Race and we all look forward to her joining the Race next year again!
Hi all!
Dino here! Just wanted to say a massive massive Thank you to everyone who sponsored or donated bbs. I did the Race for Life yesterday, on Blackheath SE London in the glorious sunshine. It was a brilliant day as well as emotional. I raised over £2,000 for CRUK in my dads memory. There were 6 of us in my little group and we all dressed like fairies. Lots of comments as you could imagine. Looking forward to next years race (planning the outfits already lol). Speak to you all in the Chat room soon.
Cheers

CM Tigger’s Race for Breast Cancer Care
Read below CM Tigger’s fantastic testimonial about her experiences during the Breast Cancer Care Race on 14th June!
Hiyaaaaaa all, well all I can say is ouch ouch ouch i did my ribbon walk on the 14th June and it went great. We did 10 miles in three and a half hours, not bad going for someone who doesn't walk anywhere !! lol. Most of the walk was uphill except the last 2 miles which was down hill and at times it was very tempting to give up but we both encouraged each other and we did it. The girl on the left in the photo with our Bingos T-shirts on is Jo Lee (see photo in your weekly Bingos.co.uk newsletter), she walked with me and together we raised over £1,000 for Breast Cancer Care. Most of the money raised came from all you great roomies and again ty sooooo much for all your generosity and we will be going back again next year thanks again
All love

£109,003.87 Slots Winner!
Wohoo!!! Rachet666 made it!! She is the lucky winner of our huge "Bring Home the Bacon" Slots Jackpot!! Congratulations Rachet666!!
Well, first of all I would like to thanks Bingos a very big thank you as they are a really great friendly team. I was awake late about a month ago playing "Bring Home The Bacon" and up popped on the screen was "You have won the progressive Jackpot" I couldn't believe it and said to myself "nah that was too easy", I logged off and went to bed in disbelieve until I awoke the next day to a phone from Bingos congratulating me on my big win. Then the shock kicked in, i think i stayed shocked for about 4 to 5 days. Then about a week later the huge cheque came in the post, well that put me back into shock. I'd sit on my sofa and kept looking at it, still thinking about the reality of it all. Now a month on, i am over the shock and now currently looking to buy a house, without the win on Bingos I would never have had the chance to buy a house, so again a big thanks. I still play on Bingos, love the bingo rooms, everyone and the CM's are so friendly and a good laugh. Hope you all win as big as me. Thanks Bingos!

Fundraiser for Daniel Spencer!
We've managed to raise £750 for Daniel's cause in total! Thank you roomies!! Please read his testimonial below.
"Dear Bingos Roomies and Staff,
I would like to say a massive thank you to all of you who helped to raise the funds towards my two wheelchairs. You have raised £750.00 for which both my mum and I are truly grateful. This means a lot to me personally because it means that I am now closer than ever to being able to purchase both of my chairs and I will be able to dedicate more time to training once my new chair comes as it will not be damaging my back any more. I am looking forward to the day when I get my chairs so that we can send everyone at Bingos photographs of me using the chairs. I have been overwhelmed by the huge amount of support you have shown me and my mum especially because we are essentially strangers to you all. The community spirit that was present in the bingo room on the charity night was amazing and I felt as though I had found a lot of new friends.
Thank you all for helping my mum to raise the funds and I wish you all well and hope you have lots of good luck on Bingos and win big prizes. You all deserve it. Thank you again"

Fundraiser for British Red Cross
"Dear Bingos.co.uk
On behalf of the British Red Cross I would like to thank Bingos.co.uk for the generous donation of £2,045.65. Your support is greatly appreciated and really will help make a huge difference to the lives of those facing crisis both in the UK and overseas.
The British Red Cross meets the needs of vulnerable people and communities across the UK. With the support of over 35,000 volunteers we provide care and relief to thousands of people affected by emergencies, from fires and floods to major incidents.
Throughout the areas affected by the devastating floods that have hit the UK recently, dozens of volunteers have been providing round the clock emergency cover for thousands of people evacuated from their homes. They have been particularly targeting vulnerable and older people, who may have become isolated by the extreme weather and rising water. Maureen, who lives alone and finds it difficult to get around, spoke of how she felt when the Red Cross brought her emergency food and water supplies “It was like a dream. I couldn’t take it in that after I’d been in such a state all week someone was just going to come to my door and bring what I needed.”
As part of the world’s largest humanitarian network – the International Red Cross and the Red Crescent Movement – the British Red Cross also provides assistance during times of International crisis.
In Darfur, where more than 2 million people have fled their homes as a result of conflict, our long standing neutrality means that the Red Cross is one of the few organisations able to reach and assist people in need from every affected community. In Gereida camp, where more than 100,000 refugees live in cramped and often squalid conditions, the Red Cross is providing all basic services including food, water, healthcare and household essentials.
Without the generosity of supporters such as Bingos.co.uk our life saving work would not be possible. Thanks to donations such as yours, we are able to respond immediately to help vulnerable people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.
Thank you for your support, it really will make a difference."
Yours sincerely,

Fundraiser for "Cancer Research UK"
We managed to raise a total of £916.13 for Dinosaur's cause thanks to your help to sponsor her participation at the RACE FOR LIFE event at Blackheath on 15th July 2007!! Well done roomies!!
"I would just like to extend my thanx to everyone @ bingos.co.uk including CM Allie for allowing me to benefit from another charity night. I would also like to include the roomies and the players too for without them I would be doing this race for a fiver lol. It is so heart warming to know that with all that is going on in their lives that the players of your site can still be generous enough to donate such a wonderful amount to such a worthy cause.
Once again, many, may thanx one and all."

"Thank you for supporting me and my effort to *ahem* run the race for life!
A big thankyou goes out to everyone who took part by buying tickets or donating bbs. Please thank all the CM's who had to put up with
my endless chatter lol.
This race means so much to me. I am not doing this for me. I am doing this for everybody who has lost someone or who knows someone that this dreadful disease has affected. If I can make a difference to just one person or their family then it will be so worth it. It means the world to me to know that I have CM Allie, the CM's, the players and the roomies there to help me make that difference. "
